• "The Nifty Nineties" (1941) - A Mickey Mouse CartoonI was surprised that the complete cartoon of this wasn't on YouTube (probably got deleted already, heh heh). So, here ya go, kids!Not exactly my favorite of MIckey's ever-changing designs, as this was the era were they experimented with giving Mickey more realistic ears (ones that were attached to his head and actually had insides), and the beginning of when his tail could be seen less and less, and a shirt on his back more and more. Still, this is one of the finest examples of wonderfully timed, buttery smooth animation to a pleasing rendition of an old tune. There's just no way you can't watch that chipper little strut or that whimsical little court scene in the beginning without a smile on your face. ;)Plus, the 1890s were epic.This cartoon can be purchased in the Walt Disney Treasures box set "Mickey Mouse in Living Color: Volume Two." Nice way to show your support by buying it...not to mention you get "Runaway Brain" out of the deal. *Nod, nod*
