• Multitrack Emanuel TagThis song is called "Oh, Come Emanuel" and is taken from Gas House Gang's christmas album "Some Children See Him", and it's one of my favorites. Personally, I think this is the best tag there is. I'm not quite satisfied with the recording though, I'd want a longer post... • Zoom H4 Handy Recorder - Multitrack Audio RecorderI contradict myself at least once in this video. I said the menu system was way too complex, but then by the end I said it was easy to use. Well, it is way too complex, but if you go through the tutorial, you can learn enough to use it quickly enough.The H4 can also be used as an audio interface card for your computer so that you can record directly to your computer, but that probably isn't that good an option because USB interfaces usually introduce some latency. The latency is fixed, however, so adjusting for it is not difficult.

The whole process took me almost a month to complete but here is my finished product.Unfortunately, I have found that some of the sound quality has been distorted from the terrible program I used, so if you want to listen to it more clearly, download the Mp3.This is a recording of me singing a song by the Finnish a cappella sextet call Rajaton. This is an arrangement that I attempted to transcribe. I am singing all parts: Bass, Baritone, Tenor/Lead, Contra Alto, Alto, and Soprano.Of course, feedback is always appreciated!I recorded this is my room at a College residence with an M-audio mobile pre USB box and an Audio Technica 2010 handheld condenser microphone. • Multitrack Inter-Region Tag (Strike Up The Band)Ladies And Gentlemen:LET ME PRESENT TO YOU THE FIRST BARBERSHOP QUARTET IN THE WORLD THAT HAVE NEVER MET!The quartet consists of three familiar singers and a newcomer. The order of recording is (aside from completely idiotic): Lead, Bari, Tenor, Bass.This project has been pending for a while, it is hard to synchronize recordings with four different persons (especially with technical difficulties occuring all the time). I can liken it to GarageBand for PC's but that's not giving it the justice it deserves. I started it last summer, and did the introduction (first half of the song), which I am pretty happy with. I got bored of it and then stopped for a couple of months, and later resumed and did bits and pieces of it. I am still not very satisfied with the second half because the high mezzo-soprano lines aren't very melodic, nor do they blend very well. I basically wanted to get this finished by Christmas so I could put it on a CD for my family. • VoiceDance - MultitrackThis song is a tribute to all those guys who are multitracking full barbershop tags and songs in beautiful harmony by themselves.This is my first multitrack song alone. It's a song called VoiceDance; it has no lyrics and it was written to be sung at a wedding to demonstrate that words cannot describe the feelings that the two had shown for each other.Unfortunately, I did not have a video editing program that supported picture in picture so I was unable to play videos of me recording each part.It is 8-part harmony consisting of:B2 + B1 (raised an octave in parts), T2,T1,A2,A1,S2, and S1. Reverb has been added to each of the tracks.Technical bits:I recorded each part on an "Audio Technica 2010" handheld condenser mic using Garageband. • Multitrack Scarborough Fair Tag!!!It's up! And it's eight parts! I nailed the high A in chest voice, the D in falsetto and the low E in the bass, although (as you can see), I did it at different times. I needed to be hungover to be able to record the basses, but it turned out allright...The parts are in normal barbershop setup, high parts on top. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. • Multitrack Barbershop Tag - Sleepytime Down SouthI'm back with another Multitrack Barbershop Tag! This is one of my all-time favorite barbershop tags. It's a great one for beginners because the lead only has two notes, the tenor isn't very high and the bass isn't very low. I'm not sure I got the video sync'd correctly, and I added some EQ, compression, and reverb but no pitch correction of any kind.

• Theme from 'Gunsmoke' - John Dennis Dickey (Multi-track recording)Rex Khoury's theme from "Gunsmoke" first appeared on the radio series starring William Conrad, and it was even more impactful and poignant, with a wonderful accoustic counterpoint guitar backing. I first heard the lyrics from a Tex Ritter recording, which was also beautifully done. I met and talked with James Arness at a Gene Autry Museum book signing for his autobiography - beautifully-written narrative. Titled "James Arness - An Autobiography", it's well worth reading.
