Katy Grogan Memorial VideoMemorial for Katy Grogan senior at Archbishop Molloy High School. 1/27/90-2/15/08. Rest in Peace Angel. We love and miss you terribly. The song is "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World. For all those that keep asking, Katy was at a soccer tournament in Tampa Bay, Florida. She left her hotel with a few friends to get food around 10 PM and was hit by a car crossing the street. The street light system in Tampa was flawed, and the accident was neither the fault of the driver nor Katy's.

Memorial Day - Arlington (Trace Adkins)Memorial Day Tribute to members of the United States Armed Forces who now rest in peace in Arlington National Cemetery - set to the song - "Arlington" by Trace Adkins - In honor of the Fallen Heroes of the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Reserves. All gave some, some gave all. These are the men and women who bought our freedom at the price of their lives. We give thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and pray for the loved ones they left behind.Lyrics:I never thought that this is where I'd settle downI thought I'd die an old man back in my hometownThey gave me this plot of land,me and some other men, for a job well doneThere's a big white house sits on a hill just up the roadThe man inside he cried the day they brought me homeThe folded up a flag and told my mom and dad'We're pround of your son'And I'm proud to be on this paecful piece of propertyI'm on scared ground and I'm in the best of companyI'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've doneI can rest in peace, I'm one of the chosen ones, I made it to ArlingtonI remember that my daddy brought me here when I was eightWe searched all day to find out where my granddad layAnd when we finally found that crossHe said, 'son this is what it cost to keep us free'Now here I am a thousand stones away from himHe recongized me on the first day I came inAnd it gave me a chill when he clicked his heels and saluted meI'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of propertyI'm on scared ground and in the best of companyI'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've doneI can rest in peace I'm one of the chosen ones, I made it to ArlingtonAnd every time I hear twenty-one gunsI know they brought another hero home to usWe're thankful for those thankful for the things we've doneWe can rest in peace, 'cause we were the chosen onesWe made it to Arlington, yea, dust to dustDon't cry for us, we made it to Arlington

9-11 World Trade Center Memorial - Jeff Buckley/HallelujahSummer of 1999, my family and I had the opportunity to vacation in New York City. We had a lovely time, saw a few Broadway shows, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, The Empire State Building, Central Park and we visited The World Trade Center. At the World Trade Center, there is what is called the "Top of The World" indoor and outdoor observation deck. When arriving at the World Trade Center we had a souvenir photo taken of us in the lobby area then up the elevators to the indoor observation deck and then it ends with a wonderful rooftop stroll with a suburb view..It is unfortunate for those who have never had the opportunity to see or visit the WTC. They were a couple of enormous and majestic buildings located in lower Manhattan. Now, their absence from the cityscape of Manhattan breaks my heart. The day they fell, our freedom, as we knew it, was taken from us. America will never be the same.God Bless America and God Bless those innocent people who lost their lives.

The Fureys - Green Fields of France - WW1 Memorialhttp://www.tarawatch.org:80/(Help save TARA and sign the petition)Lyrics By:http://ericbogle.net/index.htmSung By: The Fureys with Davey Arthurhttp://www.greatwar.ieWe cherish too, the Poppy redThat grows on fields where valor led,It seems to signal to the skiesThat blood of heroes never diesThe Great War ushered in the 20thCentury.It was "The War To End All Wars,"- a senseless slaughter that set the stage for the bloodiest century in human history.Yet, it was more than just a war between nations. It was a war between what was and what was to be. The "old world" was dying, and the new world had yet to be born. People of all classes and nations saw it as some great cleansing fire that would accelerate this battle and lead to a better world. But, when it was over, more than men had died in the mud of the battlefields. The naive dreams of progress, along with the innocence of the pre-war world, faith in God, and hope in the future all died in the trenches of Europe.Tony Novosel
Father Aviator Memorial VideoI lost my dad to cancer (Nov. 2005) shortly after his 86th birthday and my 54th birthday. Our birthdays were one day apart and we were as close as a son and father could be. My dad was my Best Man at my wedding.I am a very lucky guy getting to share birthday cakes 1 day apart and having a father who shared so much of his time, hobbies and talent with me. My father epitomized the book, "A DAD IS FOR SPENDING TIME WITH."My dad was an aviator -- a WW-2 Instructor Pilot for the Army Air Corps -- a cracker-jack A&P mechanic but most important my dear friend, and a father who always gave his family a stable and secure life. My father was frugal, financially responsible and never, ever tried to impress people with the things he owned. He was one easy going guy.My dad traveled a lot as a pilot, sometimes flying on trips to Europe and Africa. At about 2 minutes into this 3 minute video, you'll see the jet (A Grumman G-II) he flew to Europe. This jet was based in El Paso and ironically, in the hanger next to my dad's, the Space Shuttle Astronauts had a modified Grumman G-II that they used for practicing simulated landings in at the Northrup Range Landing Site at White Sands, New Mexico. My dad met the first batch of astronauts in El Paso and they gave him a tour of their jet! Pretty cool, huh?As a kid, I don't have any real memory of my dad being gone on piloting trips a lot because the time I spent with him when I was a kid was always high-quality time. And even now that I'm 55, I still don't think of my dad as being gone from my life -- to me, he is just on another one of his trips. All I can recall are the hundreds and hundreds (if not thousands) of weekends my dad and I spent in our garage back home building, fixing and inventing things. My father made many of my toys when I was small and these were amoung my favored treasures. He made me cars (powered by electric and gasoline engines) motorcycles and all sorts of great things. As a kid, my dad taught me how to use tools and eventually, I had enough confidence to build my own airplane (see my other video "Airplane I Built and Flew")I made two videos for my dad's funeral using some clips from old family home movies, still photos and footage of the airplanes he flew when he was an instructor. This video is the second one I showed at the funeral at the end of the service. As I watch the very last scene of a WW-2 airplane peeling off into a setting sun, I feel that he isn't gone... but just going off on another flight like when I was a young boy, and my mom is already there to greet him at his next "airport"... (Both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer within a couple of weeks and my mother passed away first.)I would want any kid to be as blessed and fortunate as I was -- having a father who was a faithful bread-winner and someone who was always available, even into the "senior citizen" years.
