• Zaffa, Palestinian traditional groom parade part 1For those who are not familiar with traditional Palestinian weddings, this is what this video is about. The Palestinian village wedding is traditionally divided into few sections. This is the bridegroom parade. The wedding is two days. On the second day morning, the groom is invited to a friends home for the "Bath", this includes bathing the groom and a ceremonial hair cut and a meal. After that comes the Nkoot, the groom's friends give him money and attach it on his suit as a symbol of support in his new life. So after Nkoot his jacket is literary covered with money. He is not supposed to take off this money until he reaches home :)What follows in this video is the Zaffa, the "groom parade", from the groom's friend home to his home. The groom's best man carries a decorated umbrella over him. All the males of the village participate, forming two lines and two singers take turns singing traditional songs in the middle. The groom brothers and relative cheer the men in the middle too. As the parade passes by the village homes, they stop and are offered drinks and sweets.Here, friends and family of the bride and groom clap and chant various phrases which praise the bride and groom and their qualities, talk directly to the groom telling him how lucky he is to be wedding 'this' bride and talk directly to the bride telling her how happy she will be with this groom. It is a chant because the men repeat the few phrases in their song over and over. At some point, those participating in zaffa sing in two groups where one group sings a phrase and the other answers by repeating the phrase or starts a new phrase.During the groom's parade, there is a party for the bride at her home. When the parade ends, the groom goes with relatives to bring his woman in another parade called the "Fardi". This is followed by another party at his home.

In 1989 I also attended a MUFON conference in Las Vegas in which a wide array of "controversial personalities" such as John Lear, Bill Cooper, Bill English and Bill Moore were all giving presentations. I was totally fascinated by all these events and personalities. However, those days were my days of gullibility and immaturity. In December of 1989 I was contacted by Nippon Television (NTV) of Japan to help produce a two-hour special program on Area 51 that was to be shown in Japan. On February 21 of 1990, I took the Nippon Television team to Bob Lazar's residence in Las Vegas to interview the so-called former "government scientist". After the 4-hour interview, Bob Lazar gave us instructions how to get to the point where we would probably see a test flight of the "craft". At sundown on Wednesday, February 21, the television crew of 8 and I set up several tripods right at the now-famous "black mailbox" at Highway 375 (at the 29 and a half mile marker, the so-called Mail Box Road). We witnessed and documented on film what appeared to be a test flight of "something" over the Groom Mountains. I was totally fascinated by what we all saw from a distance. Subsequently the two-hour documentary on Area 51 was broadcast nationwide in Japan in March of 1990 and generated lots of attention there, when Area 51 was not even a household name in the United States at that time! That was the beginning of my ten-year span of involvement in the research on Area 51. I really wanted to get to the bottom of this mysterious base.......what truly was going on over there. Are there any extraterrestrial technology out there? However, those were my years of naivete and immaturity. I began a loosely-knit network called the Civilian Intelligence Network, together with Gary Schultz of Santa Monica. Since then I made countless trips to the perimeter areas, including climbing atop White Sides to view the facility from the distance in 1991, 1992 and 1993. I also had an opportunity to climb atop the Freedom Ridge very early in 1994 to view the facility before it was placed off limits to the public. In December of 1990 I even organized and led a 25-car caravan to Area 51 together with Gary Schultz and invited an L.A. Times reporter to cover the event. The article appeared in March of 1991 in L.A. Times.

Ok Go dance for my sister's wedding

My dad, my brother, and brother in law do a surprise performance of the Ok Go dance for my sister's wedding. All of us are over 6'3" except for the little guy Chris so cut us some slack for the sloppiness.
