Alien Music Video (Jerry Goldsmith)This is a music video of Ridley Scott's masterpiece 'Alien' (1979) with the great creepy music created by composer Jerry Goldsmith. In the year 2122 a lone interstellar towing-vehicle is on its way to Earth. The voyage is interrupted by a distress single sent from an alien planet. The crew of seven touch down on the planet and investigate the origin of the signal. They find an alien vehicle crashed into the surface and when they enter it crewman Kane (John Hurt) becomes infected by an alien life form. Later the crew that is left will have to fight for their survival against a formidable enemy. The film stars Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, John Hurt, Veronica Cartwright, Ian Holm, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto and Bolaji Badejo as the alien. The film is a hallmark in cinema as one of the scariest science-fiction movies ever made. Jerry Goldsmith's music captures the isolation, fear and wonder of this film perfectly. I hope that you will all appreciate this tribute to a great film.'Alien' and its music are property of 20th Century Fox.

CHINATOWN 'Main Title' - Jerry Goldsmith (HQ + ending)Chinatown (1974) is an American neo-noir film, directed by Roman Polanski. The film features many elements of the film noir genre, particularly a multi-layered story that is part mystery and part psychological drama. This classic detective story is set during a heat wave in 1930s Los Angeles, whose residents are suffering from a water shortage as a result of an ongoing drought. Private investigator Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson) runs a detective agency specializing in matrimonial strife and infidelity. When a client posing as the wife of the L.A. water commissioner hires him to spy on her husband, who is rumored to be having an affair with a younger woman, Jake uncovers a plot against the commissioner--but this is only the tip of the iceberg. Yet to emerge are a scandal implicating the actual Mrs. Evelyn Mulwray (Faye Dunaway), with whom Jake is destined to become more closely acquainted, and a real estate swindle of tremendous proportions devised by her father, powerful tycoon Noah Cross (John Huston), who has a vast network of corrupt city officials and landowners backing him up.The film was nominated for eleven Academy Awards, winning in the category of Best Original Screenplay for Robert Towne. In 1991, Chinatown was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".A sequel, called The Two Jakes, was released in 1990, starring Jack Nicholson (who also directed it), with a screenplay written by Robert Towne.Trivia:The line "Forget it, Jake, it's Chinatown." was voted as the #74 movie quote by the American Film Institute (out of 100).The director has a cameo - playing the hood who slits Jake's nose. The haunting trumpet solos are by respected Hollywood studio musician, Uan Rasey.

Gremlins 2 Music Video (Jerry Goldsmith)Joe Dante's 'Gremlins 2: The New Batch' is certainly one of the wackiest sequels ever made. It has a huge amount of self referencing comedy, slapstick and some really creepy scenes. This light hearted sequel to the 1984 horror/comedy 'Gremlins' takes place in a New York office building. Ran by millionair Daniel Clamp (John Glover)it has everything from a cable network to a genetics lab which is leaded by the great Christopher Lee as Dr. Catheter. When Gizmo's owner Mr. Wing (Key Luke) passes away the poor Mogwai is taken to the Clamp Center. There he is found by none other but Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) and Kate Beringer (Phoebe Cates) who try to keep him safe. However Gizmo doesn't obey and within minutes he spawns a new batch of evil Mogwais headed by the reincarnation of Stripe: Mohawk. And soon enough the Clamp Center is overrun by Gremlins, who seem to be very sensitive to genetic manipulation. The soundtrack is once again from Jerry Goldsmith, who delivers an inventive and really wacky score.'Gremlins 2: The New Batch' and its soundtrack are property of Warner Bros. Studios.
Eien no Kodoku - Solomon Goldsmith[[ This video is purely fan made and is in no way associated with the anime company or musical artist in any way ]]A Solomon AMV. Even after I finished watching Blood+, I just couldn't get over Solomon's death. So I decided to make him a tribute of sorts. Unfortunately, it was only AFTER I started making it that I realized it was a bad idea. My crappy computer's RAM is so low, that it kept freezing every five mins. In the end though, (after a LOT of tears) I managed to finish it. Turned out pretty decent...

OUR MAN FLINT - Jerry Goldsmith (HQ)Our Man Flint (1966), directed by Daniel Mann, granite-faced James Coburn stars as superspy Derek Flint. Equipped with the standard issue suave mannerisms and harem of girls, plus one particular accessory that James Bond would have throttled Q for: a tiny cigarette lighter with 82 functions - '83 if you wish to light a cigar!'Super-cool spy Flint, ex-agent of Z.O.W.I.E. (Zonal Organization World Intelligence Espionage ), is lured out of retirement to deal with the threat of Galaxy (a parody of SPECTRE), a world-wide organization led by a trio of Utopian mad scientists. Despairing of the world's governments ever getting their acts together, they demand that the governments all capitulate to Galaxy. To enforce their demands, they initiate earthquakes, volcanoes, storms, and other natural disasters with their climate-control apparatus.Flint is motivated to take them on, not by the pleas of his former boss Lloyd Cramden (wonderfully played by Lee J. Cobb), but due to a preëmptive assassination attempt by Galaxy's section head Gila while Flint is dining with his four live-in 'playmates'.Supported by Jerry Goldmsith's way groovy musical score, Flint does it all while keeping his tux spotless, his demeanor cool, and his women satisfied.A sequel, 'In Like Flint', followed two years later, and in 1976, the character was revived for a TV movie, Our Man Flint: Dead on Target, with Ray Danton taking over the role of Derek Flint.

Jerry Goldsmith - I.Q.
