• 2008 Topps Heritage Hobby Box BreakOn this episode of Wax On we are breaking a box of 2008 Topps Heritage Baseball.This product has a lot to offer. The design is based on the 1959 Topps release.The product includes a base set of 500 cards. There are three parallel sets; Chrome, Chrome Refractors, and Chrome Black Borders. Each set contains 100 cards and all are sequentially numbered.There are several insert sets that include New Age Performers, Then and Now , Flashbacks and News Flashbacks.There are also several Autograph and Relic cards inserted. Many of these are hand numbered and some are even 1 of 1.In the hobby boxes, like the one here, there is one three pane advertising panels in each box. In every other box there is an original 1959 Topps card that is stamped.Something that Topps does not mention is that some of the cards have black on the back instead of green. On average there is about one per pack. There are also several short print cards in the base set.In my box I got two Then and Now inserts. One of Eddie Matthews and Alex Rodriguez; the other of Don Drysdale and Jake Peavy. Three chrome parallels of Barry Zito, Hanley Ramirez and Ichiro. One Chrome Refractor of Jeff Francis. Three Flashbacks. Two New Age Performers; David Ortiz and David Wright. A Bobby Smith Buyback. One advertising panel featuring Johan Santana, Roy Halladay and Brad Wilkerson. And Finally a Minnie Monoso Flashback Relic.
